Dr Tang is a member of the Association of Orthodontists, Singapore (AOS), where she serves as a council member and Chairperson of the Continuing Professional Education (CPE) committee for fellow orthodontists. She graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2005 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).

Dental Braces In A League Of It's Own
Dental braces consist of brackets and wires that are tightened over time to shift misaligned teeth into proper positions. They are worn for several months or years, as needed to achieve the best results.
The brackets are attached to the front of each tooth and an archwire is threaded through them. The archwire is then attached to elastics that are looped over the brackets to gently pull the teeth into the desired direction.
Braces are recommended by orthodontists for cases of misalignment and dental crowding. Dr Tang is an MOH-accredited specialist who performs this procedure every single day. Nobody Does Invisalign Like A.D.S
Invisalign is a transparent alternative to traditional braces, providing a more discreet and comfortable way to straighten teeth.
Trays that are moulded to fit snugly over the teeth. They work by gently applying pressure to the teeth to slowly shift them into the desired position.
Invisalign clear aligners are removable, which means eating, brushing and flossing can be done without them. However, the aligners must be worn for at least 22 hours a day and changed every one to two weeks for adjustment. This process is repeated until the teeth have reached their proper positions.

Clear aligners are as effective as traditional braces thanks to the precise amount of force they apply on teeth.
Getting braces can be a bit uncomfortable, but it’s not terribly painful. You may feel pressure or mild discomfort when the wire on the bracket is tightened. The discomfort should subside within a week.
There is no single answer to this question as it depends on your expectations and needs.
Metal braces are more affordable and can be easier to adjust and maintain, but they are not as discreet as aligners. Clear aligners, on the other hand, are virtually invisible and comfortable, but they cost more.
